offers on-location portrait photography in the
Cedar Rapids/Marion, IA area
as well as in-home studio photography in Marion.

Whether photographing teens in an outdoor urban or country setting, or children, babies or newborns in my in-home studio
or at a local park, my goal is to capture
the “True You” and help you and your family members shine.
I describe my photography style as comfortable and relaxed
with a little bit of fun in the mix.
My goal is for you to truly enjoy your session and for us
to make amazing portraits together.

This blog is an opportunity for me to showcase the beauty of my clients.

A little bit about me …

I love fashion and styling you and your family for a shoot. But I, myself, am pretty much fashion-less.  

“Elf” is my favorite movie.

Chocolate is one of my best friends. And one of my biggest enemies.

Sometimes (most times) I am so excited after a photo shoot that I literally cannot get home fast enough to download them onto the computer and start playing with/processing them.

When a client says “can we try this?” I love that, and when we do try it, and they rock the shot I love my job even more!

Accessories are a necessity. I firmly believe it. Rose-colored glasses are one of my favorites.

She probably won’t believe this but I tried really hard not to embarrass my daughter when she was in junior high/high school. I was not always successful.

I am a tough cookie. But only for so long; then I crumble. I think I want a cookie.

I firmly believe the following statement:
Life is what you make of it.
